Notes:
Each J. Augur bag is one of a kind—built with salvaged materials that carry their own history of wear, weather, and work. Subtle markings, distress, and patina are intentionally preserved as part of the piece’s character. This bag was handcrafted in California with over two decades of design experience behind it. Unconditionally guaranteed.
About the textile:
This bag was handcrafted from a vintage wool weaving originally produced in Texcoco, a historic textile hub in central Mexico. Woven on traditional looms in the mid-20th century, these flatwoven blankets were used as saddle blankets or practical home textiles. Their distinctive motifs — including diamonds, stepped forms, and rhythmic banding — reflect both indigenous and colonial-era design influences. The soft patina, undyed wool, and indigo accents speak to decades of use and cultural memory preserved in every thread.
