Can you believe it? October 23rd? We are working half days in the studio through Wednesday as there’s no a/c. Global warming is real—it’s not just some distant threat. I worry for my children and for their future children. I strive to leave the smallest footprint I can…living a life, and running a business, based entirely on recycling. I’ve been recycling for my entire adult life—and selling and up cycling vintage for approaching 18 years. I live 1.3 miles from work. But I know I can do much more. Change is a commitment and a process. There’s never a finish line…we must strive to do better and better. Stop and think about how quickly our natural habitat and climate have changed so radically and rapidly in only a few decades. Yes, we all work; and yes, we all consume and waste and discard. But I know I can do better and I know you can, too. Let’s find a way to be as concerned about keeping cool as we are about being cool

Fledgling Navajo buckets close to taking flight as they near completion. It’s been an enjoyable week seeing these, and other, bags take shape. Fridays are always a bit hectic as we race to complete the week’s batch of bags. With each one made individually, there are a myriad of decisions made every step of the way. Looking forward to sharing these in their final form# bucketbag
